A fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Practice Educator, to work in Sandwell Adult Social Care, Health and Wellbeing. The person we are looking for will have a key role in the developing of the Practice Educator pathway. They will work in partnership and in line with the Leaning Development Team to deliver priorities and objectives.
The person will take responsibility for supporting learning and development programmes and projects, with a specific focus on NQSWs in their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE), social work students on placement and social work apprenticeship programme.
The suitable person will have excellent standard of practice with outstanding communication skills, ability to engage and influence at all levels.
You need to be:
- HCPC registered
- Social Work qualification
- Practice Educator Post qualifying award –Stage 2 or equivalent in line with the Practice Educators Standards for Social Work and Standards of Proficiency (SoP)
You must have:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified social worker within various service areas
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a practice educator supporting and assessing students and NQSWs
- Group facilitation skills
- Presentation skills
- Supervision skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good IT skills – ability to input and store data electronically, produce reports and device PowerPoint presentations
