Salary G5 £20,143 to £23,600 per annum

The Admissions and Appeals Team has a vacancy for an Admissions Panels Coordinator.

The post holder will be responsible for coordinating meetings of the Children Missing Education Panel, the Fair Access Panels, and providing administrative support for the Walsall Inclusion Partnership.  The successful candidate will be responsible for agenda setting, minute taking and record keeping for each of these panels.

The post holder will also be involved in providing advice and support to parents and colleagues in Walsall schools on all aspect of the school admissions and appeals process.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this post, which is covered by the government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.

Candidates should also have excellent ICT skills, GCSE Grade C or above in English Language and Maths or equivalent, and experience of working in an office environment.

The post holder will be based at the Civic Centre, but will be required to travel to attend meetings off site on a very regular basis.
