About Us
We are looking to recruit outstanding Inclusion Mentors to join Warwickshire's Specialist Teaching Service. This Service supports schools in their strategic response to meeting the needs of learners with cognition and learning, social emotional and mental health, as well as communication and interaction needs.
The Role
We are looking for experienced and skilled practitioners to work in a Service which has considerable experience of trading with schools over fifteen years.
This post requires the ability to be skilled, organised and flexible in a high-pressured environment. We welcome candidates with a strong customer care ethos in supporting schools to meet the needs of vulnerable pupils.
Key Requirements
To work as part of the Specialist Teaching Service to support schools to successfully meet the needs of learners with SEND whose educational placement is at risk, using specialist skills to facilitate access and maximise independence.
To take allocated cases and manage them with oversight supervision from Lead Teacher / Assistant Area Manager, attending reviews as appropriate.
To record involvement and assessment information to report back to other professionals.
To model appropriate strategies and provide support to schools and parents, as well as other staff in STS with a view to building their confidence and longer-term capacity.
