Passionate about giving children and young people a great start in life?
Our priority in Herefordshire is to keep children safe and give them a great start in life.
It’s the priority for the council, our partners and for all of us who work in Children’s Wellbeing.

How do we do this? By having dynamic, dedicated, passionate and professional staff who work in a culture that focuses on what we can achieve with children, what they can achieve themselves, and the relationship we build with families and partners to enable this. We have two vacancies for advanced practitioners to join our Social Work Academy. Our Advanced Practitioners will work to support our Principal Social Worker in developing and delivering the CPD offer to all of Children’s Social Care staff and help to create a culture where excellent social work can thrive.
That’s us, what about you? You will be passionate about the development of our people and practice. You recognise that this is achieved by providing people with focused and timely CPD that means understanding the needs of the staff, the organisation priorities and what works in delivering the best possible outcomes for young people. You will have the drive and understanding to work with front-line staff and managers to embed better ways of working. You will, most of all, share our focus on giving children and young people a great start in life.

If that’s you then give us a call and let’s talk about the opportunity and the great environment that you could be living and working in.

Competitive relocation payment of up to £5,000.
