The Role
15.0 Hours per Week
We are creating an exciting new position for a Wrap-around Manager at Clinton Primary School, to develop and expand the opportunities for children to come to our After School Club and Holiday Clubs. With a brand new space available to us, the environment is fantastic. We are looking for someone energetic and enthusiastic, with experience of and a passion for working with children. Our chosen candidate will have excellent people skills and will be able to communicate effectively. They will have good experience of deploying staff. We will employ a candidate with the ability to be self-sufficient and with a drive to provide our children with a safe, stimulating environment where they love to be.
The role would require:
- Leading sessions at our After School Club and Holiday Clubs;
- Recruiting, deploying and developing staff;
- Purchasing resources;
- Promoting the club;
- Ensuring policies, specifically regarding safeguarding, are adhered to by all in the club.
The hours for the After School Club are 3.00pm until 6.00pm and will be for 4 days a week, with an additional 3 hours of planning time allotted. Weekly hours therefore total 15.
We intend to grow the holiday club steadily to eventually cover the half term holidays, all through the summer holiday and a week of the Easter holiday, though it is negotiable how many of these weeks our Wrap-around Manager will need to be physically on site.
The hourly rate will be £16.26. The annual wage will be more clearly defined based on how hours (particularly for Holiday Club supervision) are negotiated. Unlike in teaching, all hours of work are paid!
We are open to the role being separated into the holiday responsibilities and the After School Care responsibilities, and for the role to be a job-share – so would welcome applications from people who are interested in taking on all or part of the role.
This being a new role, and various aspects of it open to negotiation, we would welcome interested candidates to visit and discuss it more prior to application. Contact Chris Benson in the school office in order to arrange an appointment.
