Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Support Worker

£25,951 per annum pro rata

WMRSASC has a vacancy for a Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Support Worker.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with children and young people and have an understanding of the nature and impact of sexual violence and experience of working with survivors. They will be required to work within a multi-agency setting to provide to a specialist sexual violence support service to; children and young people aged 5 years and over who are at risk of or who have experienced child sexual exploitation.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialist CSE educational materials to children and young people, as well as external professionals.
  • Provide a psychosocial and practical support for children and young people who are at risk or who have experienced CSE.
  • Provide practical and emotional support to children and young people through the criminal justice process.
  • Explain criminal, legal and if relevant, civil remedies and housing options to clients/parents/guardians.
  • Undertake risk assessment and support needs analysis.
  • Support children and young people to access their rights.
  • Support children and young people to access health and other services they require.
  • Implement risk reduction and protective behaviour strategies.
  • Consider child protection issues and follow child protection policies whilst keeping the needs of the child/young person paramount.
  • Participate in individual clinical supervision, appraisal sessions and team meetings.
  • Participate in group work facilitation.
  • Contribute towards service development.
  • Maintain a caseload and accurate electronic records.
  • Participate in group work facilitation.
  • Assess and establish competence using Fraser guidelines.

The post holder will be required to work across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. The ability to travel is essential.
