Grade 6 (SCP 19 - SCP 24) £24,799 - £27,905 per annum
37 hours per week (5 day working patterns apply from any 7 days including being part of a rota for weekend and Bank Holiday working)
We are looking for a new enthusiastic Bereavement Services Technical Officer to work in the shared Bereavement Service for Redditch Borough and Bromsgrove District Councils.
The Bereavement Services team provides a professional and friendly service to families, industry professionals and the wider general public across two district Councils. Whether you are an experienced Bereavement Services Officer or from a different background you will need to be organised, with a flexible attitude and good team working skills.
Your main duties will be delivery of all administrative functions relating to cremation, burial and memorialisation, maintaining appropriate legal records, carrying out cremations, burials and scatterings, providing customer service and advice both in person & over the telephone, developing the service to provide new and innovative ways for people to mourn the loss of a family member and ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with relevant legislation, council policy and procedures. You will also need to work across various different Council sites in what is an exciting shared services environment.
