Working hours: 32.5 hours a week (6.5 hours, 5 days a week) term time only (39 weeks a year), starting by 8.30am each day

Working within the Science Department, you will provide vital administrative support to the teaching staff and Director of Science.  You will prepare teaching resources and display materials designed by teaching staff such as worksheets, test papers and PowerPoint slides, making them clear and giving them visual impact; you will enter and manipulate pupil progress data and maintain other data as required; you will prepare standard letters, take and make calls to parents, arrange meetings, assist in setting cover for absent teachers, undertake bulk-photocopying tasks etc. 

This is a busy and varied role which requires excellent administrative and organisational skills, strong IT skills across the range of Microsoft Office programmes, effective communication and team-working skills, and the initiative and flexibility to do whatever is needed to ensure the smooth running of the department.
