The Adult Social Care directorate are looking for an aspirational, motivated and enthusiastic Business Support Coordinator to ensure delivery of a professional support service.

As the Business Support team are often the first port of call within the directorate, we are seeking a candidate to work with us on this journey who will ideally have a Business Administration background, significant experience with IT software, Management experience within a busy faced paced environment as well as enthusiasm for change, a positive and resilient “can do” attitude and a passion for making a difference.

It is an expectation that the Business Support Coordinator adopts a professional approach with exceptional Customer Service skills and a strong ability to multi-task which is paramount to contributing to the delivery of a high standard way of working.  

As a member of the Business Support Team, you will provide comprehensive, efficient and professional administrative support to Senior Managers in Adult Social Care and the wider directorate as a whole. This specifically will involve managing the coordination of the work that is carried out including delivering a suite of activities such as financial information checking, data entry, customer/provider telephone queries, supervision and HR handling, meeting support and higher level business administration to ensure the Senior Management Team and the directorate are fully supported in all areas of Adult Social Care activity.

It is of paramount importance that you are able to manage conflicting demands in this challenging, fast paced environment and able to lead the coordination of a diverse team in a supportive and efficient way. 

Closing date: Sunday 27th October 2019. 

The selection process will include a panel interview and a written IT test. 

This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.  The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
