Administration Officer (Legal Services) – Ref: RT71219

Salary G4 £18,981 to £20,956 per annum

Full time, permanent 

An opportunity has arisen to join an established administration team. The postholder will be required to provide typing and administration support services to Legal and Democratic Services and the Mayoral office.

The ability to demonstrate use of the Microsoft suite to include Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook and to communicate effectively in writing and verbally are essential to this post. The postholder will also need to be able to use a legal case management system where training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The successful candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision and effectively prioritise workloads.  Experience of working in a legal environment would be advantageous. 

This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.

Closing date: 16st October 2019

Interview date: Commencing from 21st October 2019

For this role the successful candidates must undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.  BPSS is the minimum standard to ensure the identity and integrity of an employee who has access to official information using secure networks linking central government and local authorities.  A BPSS check involves four main elements; Identity Check, National and Immigration Status, Employment History (last 3 years) and Verification of Criminal Record (unspent convictions only).
