Western Springs is a small school, situated on the edge of Cannock Chase in Rugeley and set in attractive spacious grounds. We pride ourselves on being the heart of our community and our aim is to engender in our pupils a love of learning as well as a belief that they are each capable of great things.

We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Early Years Leader, who is an excellent classroom practitioner, to join our team at what is a very exciting time for the school as we look to the future. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic to play a part in the life of our inclusive, child-centred school and will be committed to positive behaviour strategies and to building relationships with our pupils, parents and the wider community.

We are looking for an individual who:

  • Is ready for a challenge
  • Is motivated by the opportunity to make their own mark on our setting 
  • Has experience of teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage and extensive knowledge of the Early Years Framework
  • Has strong organisational skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Has knowledge of a range of assessment, monitoring and recording strategies
  • Has the ability to successfully lead others, including support staff
  • Has a caring nature and an understanding of the needs and feelings of children
  • Has a genuine enthusiasm and a passion for providing inspirational learning
