The Role

15.0 Hours per Week

Fixed term contract until July 2020.

The Avon Valley School is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic member of staff to join our English department for this academic year. The ideal candidate will motivate and encourage our students to realise their full potential, with a particular focus on year 11 students.

Avon Valley is a successful and oversubscribed school. Following our Ofsted Inspection in July 2017, we were graded a ‘Good’ school. The school offers a distinctive ethos where we aim to inspire and support each student to prepare for their future by fulfilling both their academic and personal potential.

The ideal candidate will have an English degree or similar qualification, however, relevant classroom experience will be considered as an alternative. Teaching experience is not essential and appropriate training will be provided.
