Job Details

A permanent full-time position has arisen for a Systems Officer within the Place Directorate ICT Team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for providing ICT related support and guidance to council staff.

Hours:  37 hours per week

Salary:  Grade 8

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Systems Officer in the Place Directorate ICT Team to provide ICT related support and guidance to council staff.  The position is full-time, permanent.

The role will entail working within a busy IT team supporting a wide range of ICT systems. As this is a support role you will be in regular contact with staff across the council but focused on the team’s key business areas. Knowledge of business areas and processes in Place / Housing would be beneficial. The role will involve working with staff at all levels by phone and email as well as attending project meetings where appropriate; helping to resolve issues, bring new and upgraded systems into support and promoting good practice and providing advice as appropriate.

The role offers a level of autonomy in helping to develop solutions to meet the challenges facing the changing environment of the council and the role of ICT in supporting this.
