Review Coordinator (Safeguarding Partnership) – Ref: CH24819
Salary G6 £22,684 - £26,732 per annum, pro-rata
Temporary contract or secondment, 20 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Safeguarding Partnership Business Unit, based within Walsall Council but working with a variety of agencies including health, police, care providers, education and the community.
This role is a maternity cover and can be undertaken as a temporary contract or secondment opportunity (for approximately 9-12 months). ** Secondment- Internal applicants should note that before applying for a secondment opportunity they should seek the support of their line manager in the first instance**
As the Review Coordinator you will oversee the statutory safeguarding reviews undertaken by the partnership. This will involve ensuring the partners adhere to national guidance and draw relevant learning from significant incidents involving adults with care and support needs and children subject to abuse and neglect, then supporting partners to implement this learning for the benefit of Walsall residents.
Due to the distressing nature of the material covered in the reviews, the suitable candidate will need to be mentally and emotionally resilient. They should also be able to work autonomously and set and meet clear deadlines and timescales for their own work and that of the partnership.
The post holder requires excellent communication skills including providing advice and/or information in accurate spoken and written English.
Closing date: 25th October 2019
Interview date: 4th November 2019
For this role the successful candidates must undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check. BPSS is the minimum standard to ensure the identity and integrity of an employee who has access to official information using secure networks linking central government and local authorities. A BPSS check involves four main elements; Identity Check, National and Immigration Status, Employment History (last 3 years) and Verification of Criminal Record (unspent convictions only).
