Youth Justice Services

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Youth Justice Service in Walsall.  The Youth Justice Service is a multi agency service with the principle aim for preventing and reducing youth offending in Walsall.  

We are an ambitious service with an expectation of excellence and a commitment to achieving positive results for children and young people at risk of offending, those who have offended, and their victims.  Restorative justice should be at the heart of what we do and we value a child centred evidenced based approach in our work. 

This is an exciting role to work directly with children and young people and partners to contribute directly to our priorities in reducing first time entrants to the youth justice system and preventing and reducing youth offending in Walsall through promoting restorative practice. 

You will ideally have previous experience of working with children and young people in a criminal justice / early help / social care / community project setting and have a relevant level 4 qualification. 

This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. 

The closing date for this post is Friday 25th October 2019 
Short listed applicants will be invited to attend an assessment and interview likely to be week commencing 18th November 2019.
