APT&C Points Range 3-6 £18065-£19171.00 FTE
pro rata to hours worked. Actual salary £13370.00-£14430.00 32.5hours per week term time only plus 5 training days.

 We are looking for enthusiastic teaching assistants to support and enable students to achieve across the 11-16 age range. The role requires support of individuals and small groups who have been identified as requiring additional help in order to improve their literacy and numeracy skills and raise attainment across all subject areas. You will work closely with all Departments together with the Special Needs team, to prepare for, and support the student during lessons and learning activities. You may also be required to undertake supervision sessions in our school library.

The successful applicant will ideally possess a degree in a relevant subject, (although this is not essential) and will also have 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths (or equivalent). Experience in a teaching assistant role is desirable but not essential. The successful candidates will demonstrate clear communication skills and possess the ability to relate well to both students and staff. We are looking for individuals who have a very flexible and enthusiastic approach to suit the varying needs of our students, and be prepared to undertake any associated tasks as required.

This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
