An opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Part Time Environmental Health Support Officer to join our Environmental Health Team, to provide a responsive customer-focused service with the aim of providing administrative support to the Team.

The role provides a first point of contact to all service users for environmental health complaints providing help and advice and where necessary a first response to these enquiries. You will be responsible for ensuring that all complaint/enquiry information is accurately recorded on the “Dynamics system” and they are responded to within target times; raising and processing payments and invoices for the Environmental Health Team; recording and responding to requests regarding land charges and assisting and supporting the work of the team through participation in a wide range of other enforcement related matters.

You will have: experience in a ‘public facing’ job role; demonstrate an ability to give advice and assistance to customers within the scope of environmental health; and an ability to interact effectively with the public, local communities, local stakeholders other agencies and public bodies, difficult people and situations.

You must hold GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent in Math and English.

You must be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to organise and prioritise work to achieve own workloads to meet service plan targets.

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer flexible working hours, free on site car parking and the Local Government Pension Scheme. This is a fixed term contract until September 2021, to cover a secondment.

Hours of work are all day Monday, Tuesday and alternate Wednesday's.
