We are looking for a self motivated individual who is committed to a career in computing to join the ICT Team.
Day to day tasks will include:
- Providing first line technical support answering support queries via phone and email
- Maintaining a high degree of customer service support
- Taking ownership of user problems and be proactive in dealing with user issues
- Logging all calls on the Councils helpdesk system
- Escalating more complex calls to relevant IT Support Engineers
- Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of relevant products and support issues to provide technically accurate solutions to users
The ideal candidate will be qualified to H.N.D. level in Computing, be studying for a degree in Computing or have completed an appropriate apprenticeship.
You will have knowledge of PC hardware, software maintenance and MS Windows.
Experience of first line support is desirable but not essential.
This post is salary structured to encourage career development, subject to satisfactory performance after 12 months.
