Social Worker – Care Planning and Court Team / Care Proceedings Team (West)
Two posts, one based in Stafford & one based in Newcastle-Under-Lyme
Salary: £31,371 to £35,934 per annum (Grade 9)
Both posts are 37 Hours per week – Permanent
The Care Planning & Court Service is responsible for Care Proceedings from granting of the Interim Care Order to granting of final orders and for Looked After Children aged 0 – 12 years of age.
Two qualified Social Workers are required. One for the Care Planning and Court Team based in Stafford and the for the Care Proceedings Team (West) based in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. In both roles you will be responsible for assessments, Court statements and presenting evidence to the Court. You will have responsibility for planning for children in the care of the Local Authority which can be for return home, placement with friends or family, adoption or long term fostering, and undertaking the care planning and Court work required to ensure timely permanency planning is achieved for children.
The ability to engage and communicate with children is essential and to support children in care to reach their full potential. You will need to work closely with colleagues in Safeguarding, Fostering, Adoption and Friends and Family Teams.
