Administrator/Receptionist Apprentice
Salary: Apprenticeship minimum wage applies- currently £3.90 per hour for the first year for apprentices over 19 years. Further information can be found at https://www.gov.uk/national-minimum-wage-rates
Hours: Full time Mon-Fri 37 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks per year. Holidays to be taken during school holiday periods only. Working hours to be agreed at interview.
Contract term: permanent
Responsible to: Executive Assistant
Qualifications: 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths at Grade C or 4 and above
Closing Date: Tuesday 12th November 2019 at 12 noon
Interviews to be held: week commencing 18th November 2019
Job start: 6th January 2020 or as soon as possible
Overview of Role:
We are looking to appoint an Administrator/Receptionist Apprentice to work in the school reception. As this is a prominent role that will have contact with students and parents as well as staff and the general public, we are looking for a friendly person with a positive attitude, who is able to manage peak time workload when dealing with several demands at once.
The successful applicant will be tasked with a range of administrative and clerical duties including answering calls, sending emails, filing, message-taking, sorting and distributing post and typing. You need to be confident in speaking to parents and visitors face to face and on the phone.
We expect you to hold qualifications that demonstrate a good level of literacy and numeracy. As part of this placement, you will be expected to undertake off the job training
