Walsall Council is transforming how it works. Developing technologies, customer expectations and external budget pressures mean we need to modernise and rethink how we deliver our services.

We are recruiting a number of ICT Project Managers to join our ICT Programme Management Office (PMO) Team, tasked with delivering Projects and Services to ensure Walsall Council continues to have an ICT infrastructure fit for the future.

Working as a key member of the ICT PMO, the postholder will be responsible for successful design, planning and delivery of council wide technology change projects including management of business cases, project initiation and management to achieve benefit realisation including efficiencies and savings. 

The postholder will mobilise and manage appropriate technical and business resources to achieve agreed plans and milestones to ensure project deliverables are achieved within time, cost and quality criteria, whilst managing project risks and issues. 

The postholder will ensure alignment of deliverables from their projects with the ICT portfolio of projects and programmes and also the wider corporate transformation programme initiatives
