Job Details

Student Engagement Programme Learning Coordinator

Term time + 5 pd days

Student Engagement Programme Team works with challenging and vulnerable learners across Telford and Wrekin, supporting them back into education and school. We work from five non-school based sites to support the needs of the learners referred from schools.

Learning coordinator is key to the planning, teaching and learning across all SEP sites. The post holder will support the Head of Student Engagement Programme to co-ordinate and deliver curriculum packages that focuses on students who are not engaging in school or other settings to include Functional and Employability skills. This will lead towards Functional Skills and other accreditation. These programmes form a core component in Student Engagement Programme (SEP) for vulnerable learners who do not access full time provision in school.

Working positively with challenging students is essential for this post.

A calm and patient approach.

Planning and delivery of vocational curriculum units.

A good understanding of Functional Skills English and Maths.

The ability to form positive working relationships.
