Education Advisor - Ref CH25219
Salary: G10 £36,511 to £41,263 per annum
This is a funded fixed term position for 12 months (with the possibility of extension)
We are looking for an Education Advisor to join our Virtual School. It is an exciting time to join Walsall Children’s Services as we are on a ‘Walsall Right for Children’ transformation journey, transforming services to ensure children and families are at the centre of everything we do. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to make a real difference to the educational outcomes of our children in care and help develop our team.
As an Education Adviser you will be required to provide high challenge and high support, to schools, social workers and other professionals to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the part they play in improving educational outcomes for Looked After and previously looked after children.
You will also have line management responsibility for a small team of key workers and a careers advisor and will be required to deputise for the Virtual School Lead when required
This post offers great opportunities for successful professional to contribute to the development of the Virtual School. You will be joining a highly motivated team, committed to improving the life chances of our children and young people in care. The applicants must have extensive knowledge of, experience in, and a commitment to, improving school practice and outcomes for Looked After and vulnerable children.
