Reaside Academy is a two form entry junior school and we are at an exciting point in our development as we are currently nearing completion of a rebuild of our school. We are an aspirational school committed to learning for all, and can provide staff with access to the best professional development opportunities. As a school we are committed to developing our staff through a wide range of CPD. Our team is hardworking, dedicated and friendly and everyone has high expectations of all of our children. We are looking for someone who has these same qualities.

We have an opportunity for a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team. We are looking to appoint a skilled and motivated Teaching Assistant to offer support for our children.

The post is for 32.50 hours per week during term time including staff training days.

The successful candidate will join a team of friendly experienced staff.

The successful candidate will need to be able to evidence previous experience of working with children in Key Stage 2. It is also desirable they have experience of working with children with SEND. They will need a minimum of Level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) with proficient practical skills.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work under the direction of the class teacher but also to work independently and use initiative appropriately.

The successful candidate will also need to possess good spoken and written English, and good numeracy and literacy skills.
