Keen to challenge young people with opportunities they may not know they even exist yet? We aim to raise pupils’ aspirations so they begin to believe in themselves and understand that there is nothing holding them back, including where they happen to live or their family’s experience in education.
At West Walsall E-ACT Academy, we know that the life chances of our pupils are determined by inspirational professionals who are prepared to go the extra mile to support the pupils within the academy.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual who has an interest in working with pupils with additional needs within our SEN department. We are looking for a dynamic graduate who can work with others to develop key literacy skills of pupils within the academy. This will involve small groups and 1:1 sessions therefore a good standard of education is essential. We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual who will be committed to driving our high expectations for all pupils across the academy
Our academy
An 11-18 academy in Walsall resolutely focused on improving the life chances of all our students and inspiring them to reach their full potential.
Ofsted good rated, recognised for helping students to progress from often low starting points.
A great place to work and live
Located just eight miles from Birmingham and six miles from Wolverhampton, Walsall is home to two E-ACT academies in Reedswood E-ACT Academy and West Walsall E-ACT Academy.
Part of the E-ACT Family
We are an E-ACT academy and proud to be part of a community that includes over 18,000 pupils and 2,300 teaching and non-teaching professionals across the country.
E-ACT multi-academy trust is responsible for 29 academies across the length and breadth of England.
Our academies can collaborate and share ideas with one another in ways that schools may not be able to. Most importantly, we all feel part of something much bigger as our responsibilities go far beyond the four walls of a single academy, and extend to people and their communities across the country.
We are always on the lookout for dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic people so we can continue to give every one of our pupils the opportunity to explore, solve, create and achieve.
In return we offer the chance to work with amazing people and inspirational pupils, as well as a great salary and sector-leading work-life balance arrangements.
The role
We are determined to ensure that all our students reach their full academic potential and develop the skills and personality to lead successful lives. The pastoral structure is integral to this
We are looking for graduates who are enthusiastic about inspiring young people, helping them to build resilience and a positive mind-set. We will support with additional training including Mental Health First Aid.
If you want to make a real difference and are ready for a new challenge, then please get in touch using the contact details below.
