Job Details
ICT Network Engineer
In the role of the ICT Netwok Engineer you will be expected to:
- Resolving fault calls within SLA to ensure a smooth day to day running of the Council’s Network and associated systems.

Scheduled maintenance tasks on all systems including monitoring tools.

Work alongside the ICT Enterprise Architect ensuring all patches and security updates are
current and planning the next deployment. -
Ensuring the Council’s LAN and WAN and associated network technologies are running 24/7.

You will also be involved in all network and associated systems related
projects and changes, providing input in proposals, creating high level and low level design documentation, planning and implementation ensuring that the planned outage window is maintained and that all network and associated systems are back online / live as scheduled. -
You will need to be proficient in large scale LAN/WAN switching and routing, have knowledge of VLAN, VPN and MPLS networking, have a knowledge of QoS and traffic management techniques, have an expert knowledge of TCP/IP and networking principles, practices and technologies.
The post will be based at County Hall, Worcester, and home working will be expected. The successful candidate will be required to travel to other sites around Worcestershire.
