Part Time Teaching Assistant Vacancy (to include a Lunchtime Pastoral Role 1-to-1) at St. Luke’s CE (C) Primary School, Cannock
 
Required as soon as possible – A dual role consisting of the following:    
 
       Pastoral Support at Lunchtime – 5 hours per wk             (Mon – Fri 12:00pm – 1:30pm)
 
Teaching Assistant Post – 9hrs 10 mins                      (Mon – Fri 1:30pm – 3:20pm)            Pastoral Support at Lunchtime:            Scale Point 1  £17,364  pro-rata – (Approx -  £2,505 per annum) 
 
Teaching Assistant: Scale Point 6 - 9 £19,171 – £20,344 - pro rata – (Approx - £5,035 - £5,343)
 
This contract is temporary will run for the length of the funding available to support the child.
 
Further to a recent Educational Psychologist Report, we are seeking a Teaching Assistant to share the role of supporting a child who has Down’s Syndrome. The appointed individual will be supporting the learning and pastoral needs of the child. The post will include supporting the pastoral needs of the child during the Lunchtime period.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience of working in similar settings, supporting primary aged pupils and may have had relevant experience with such needs.

- have experience of supporting children's learning needs within KS1 / KS2, gained in a   relevant environment
- demonstrate NVQ3 or equivalent qualification
- have an understanding of child development and learning processes

- are able to work constructively as part of a team whilst being able to demonstrate initiative,
- are friendly, professional and adaptable,
