Associate Head of Science (MPS/UPR plus TLR 2B-2C)

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified professional who is both passionate and knowledgeable to join our successful science department at an exciting time in the school’s history.  The school has been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, most recently in January 2018:

“The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection. You have created an inclusive and purposeful environment. Blue Coat is a ‘welcoming school’. The ability to demonstrate a commitment to support highly effective leadership within the science department is essential, along with an excellent track record of high quality science teaching.  We set high expectations and are passionate about sustaining a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum for all of our pupils.

Blue Coat Church of England Academy is one of the oldest educational establishments in Walsall, is well-respected and valued by the community it serves.  We operate on a very collaborative approach to school improvement working with a range of other schools and nationally recognised trainers.  The school is very proud of the family ethos which pervades all aspects of its work, which is grounded in Christian values.
