You will be required to:

• lead high-quality SEN provision which enables high-quality teaching, excellent learning outcomes and success for all pupils

• model effective teaching, and coach and train colleagues

• keep all aspects of paperwork up to date

• contribute to the development of whole-school policy where appropriate

• line manage the Assistant Inclusion Manager and 1:1 TAs (currently we have 2)

• plan strategically and set clear and manageable goals and targets within your area of responsibility

You will have:

• an ability to implement strategies for raising achievement for pupils with SEND

• confidence, clarity and decisiveness in making decisions

• outstanding communication skills with the ability to build trust and confidence with parents and staff

• a sound understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and its implications

• the ability to support, motivate and challenge colleagues

• a drive and determination to succeed

• strong time management and personal management skills

• the ability to be proactive, flexible and creative in finding solutions
