Teaching Assistant 1:1

Horton Lodge School is looking to appoint a qualified, inspiring Teaching Assistant to join our strong and dedicated team.

Horton Lodge School is a Local Authority Special School for children aged 2-11years with physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties. Our students have a range of complex learning needs including cognitive, physical, sensory, emotional and health related disabilities. The posts involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis to achieve their potential in their learning, physical, independence and social skills as well as supporting the class as a whole.

The successful candidates will truly hold the pupils well-being and learning at the centre of all they do, have good interpersonal skills, high standards and expectations and an understanding of the difficulties faced by young people with disabilities. A commitment to undertake training and implement new initiatives is required.

The successful candidate will undertake duties detailed in Teaching Assistant Job Profile AA6959 at Grade 3 term time only (SCP 3 – 4, £18,065 - £18,426 Full Time Equivalent).
