Job Details
Warwickshire Music is the lead organisation for the Warwickshire Music Hub offering a wide range of musical activities across the County. We teach over 10,000 pupils weekly and offer instrumental, vocal and curriculum music across a full range of educational settings.
Warwickshire Music and other hub partners work in partnership to give all young people the very best opportunities to make music and receive high quality music education.
We have four area music centres which offer exciting and varied musical opportunities for young people across Warwickshire beyond the school day. The music hub has close links with Arts Council England who has both a nurturing and monitoring role; partners include representatives from schools, local charities, the music industry, arts organisations and the local authority. About the role
Warwickshire Music is seeking to employ a highly skilled and motivated bassoon specialist in the Southern area of the county.
We offer comprehensive CPD support, guaranteed working hours and travel expenses paid in line with Warwickshire Music policy. All staff are issued with a Warwickshire Music Ipad to support administration and teaching tasks and are employed under teacher terms and conditions.
The majority of the work for this post is based at King Edward VI School in Stratford and there is a requirement for music centre teaching which is at the end of the school day.
Key requirements
Instrumental teachers are expected to be committed, enthusiastic musicians and teachers who are able to inspire pupils, and to communicate with conviction and sensitivity. You will be receptive to new ideas and be able to work as part of a professional team of teachers. We would expect the successful candidate to support the key mission statement of Warwickshire Music:
"High quality education should be available to all young people in Warwickshire - regardless of financial or social background"
