Project Engineer (Highways)
Do you have detailed knowledge of the development and management of highway maintenance work schemes? Do you have experience of implementing and monitoring projects?
We are looking for a Project Engineer with an understanding of quality standards and Health and Safety practice concerning Highways maintenance.
This role is within the Highways Technical Services team and is responsible for the development and management of Highways maintenance schemes including work carried out on carriageways, footways and the drainage network. The role requires working closely with the Highways Operational teams and external contractors to ensure that the Highways Capital maintenance programme is delivered on time, within budget and to specification.
We are looking for someone who is able to work proactively in a fast-paced Highways Services team, with opportunities for training and further career development.
