Placement Officer

Grade 7 £22,911 - £26,317

Full Time –  2 years ,Fixed Term Contract  

Based at:  Staffordshire Place 1, Stafford.

Working in a busy but rewarding small team where all placements are found for Looked After Children, both planned and crisis led.  The role involves information gathering, matching, identifying shortfalls and putting support systems in place, whilst keeping accurate and detailed recordings.

Critical to the role is building good relationships with colleagues across families first and external provider to source appropriate placements for young people.

Good communication skills are vital and computer literacy is also of high importance.  Knowledge of Families First and an understanding of children’s needs in the care system would be beneficial.
