Job Details
A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Family Learning tutor team working for Coventry Adult Education Service. The successful candidate will be involved in the development, planning and delivery of a range of exciting Family Learning programmes across the city in a range of venues. The courses help parents to raise the achievement of their children by becoming more confident co-educators.
The days and times of work are flexible and could be arranged to fit in with existing part time work or commitments.
You will need relevant qualifications, up to date knowledge of the primary school / EYFS curriculum, and experience of working with / teaching adults
A Family learning Tutor is required to deliver a range of courses including:
• How primary schools teach English, maths and science
• The Triple P parenting programme
• Joint parent and child Early Years programmes
• How children learn and develop in the Early Years
There are 360 permanent hours available which involves teaching 6 x 2 hour sessions per week, usually for 10 weeks per term.
However, these hours could be split across 2 posts following negotiation with successful candidate/s
This opportunity would suit someone who has experience including:
• Working in a primary school
• Work with families / adults in a school, Children’s Centre, Family Hub, community or social care setting.
• Triple P accreditation
The work is varied and challenging, but brings great satisfaction as you begin to realise the difference you make to the lives of the families you work with and the achievement of both the adults and the children
