Due to the early retirement of our Headteacher in August 2020 the Governing Body are seeking to appoint a Headteacher whose leadership, commitment, energy and high expectations will lead this vibrant and exciting school into the future.

Coundon has been a 3-form entry school since it was extended in 2014. It currently has 560 pupils on role and a 52 place Nursery. We are proud to have been able to maintain a friendly, whole school, family ethos throughout this process.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Headteacher who:

• Will maximise the opportunity to lead a school with strong supportive ethos that consistently delivers good quality learning and teaching.
• Will steer our existing and exciting curriculum to take this school even further forward.
• Will use their leadership skills, creativity and enthusiasm to maintain and improve high expectations in an atmosphere where everyone is valued, respected and encouraged to thrive.
• Can communicate their ideas clearly to inspire, influence and motivate their team.
• Will lead the strategic planning for the school, supporting and working with our experienced Leadership Team and Governing Body.
• Will be bold and courageous in their pursuit of continuous improvement, putting children at the heart of everything they do.
