This post is temporary until Friday 3rd April  2020  (possibility of extending contract until July 2020 if nursery numbers increase at Easter intake)

2 days a week Monday and Tuesday 8.30am-4pm starting 6th January 2020

The governors are very pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to appoint an excellent Early Years Practitioner to join our successful Nursery school. We are looking at a Level 3 practitioner

We welcome applicants who

  • have proven experience of working with early years
  • will assist with eating, dressing, toileting and hygiene whilst encouraging independence
  • hold an NVQ level 2 qualification in Child care or equivalent (who may be working towards a level 3)
  • have proven experience of working with SEN children in early years
  • have a clear understanding of the of the EYFS curriculum
  • can support planning and implement inclusive learning activities according to the child’s responses
  • can support the maintenance of positive links between home and school by working with parents as partners and by liaising with other agencies
  • are able to contribute to the assessment of pupils through observation, records and discussions with other team members, parents and the Headteacher
  • are willing to be a co-ordinator in an area of learning and will be active in developing / maintaining this in the learning environment, helping to support other members of staff
  • will actively participate in opportunities for professional development
  • will support in a team approach other adults, including students, parents, governors, external agencies
  • will support the maintenance and development of effective partnership working, all year transition / induction between ourselves and surrounding schools and PVI nursery settings within Treehouse Children’s Centre and others locally
