The successful Class Teacher will:• teach a class of pupils, and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs;• maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom;• contribute to constructive team-building amongst teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and governors;• ensure that the current national conditions of employment for schoolteachers are met. Please see Job Description for full details.The postholder will be required to exercise his/her professional skills and judgement to carry out, in a collaborative manner, the professional duties set out below:• ensure that medium-term planning meets all National Curriculum requirements;• review, monitor and evaluate current practice (including schemes and policies) and provide feedback to the Senior Management Team;• lead by example, through good classroom practice;• maintain an up-to-date knowledge of local and national initiatives, by attending relevant courses.The successful candidate will have:• full Qualified Teacher Status;• successful teaching experience and practices;• excellent practitioner skills;• excellent communication skills;• a good sense of humour;• enthusiasm.Interviews will be held week commencing 2nd December 2019Required to start January 2020Maternity Cover until 31.8.2020
