Required for January 2020 for 2 terms in the first instance

Future Generation Trust is a small, growing Trust of primary phase academies in Staffordshire.

It is committed to developing qualities and skills in pupils at all its academies that will enable them to have happy and successful adult lives. A clear focus upon enjoyment, participation and high achievement aims to create a strong foundation in pupils that will allow them to move forward with purpose and belief.

St. John’s Primary Academy, Essington, is a Church School which works closely with the community.  It is Ofsted rated Outstanding. To continue our improvement it is imperative that we appoint talented members of staff who share our vision of delivering a wide curriculum in a bright, attractive and supportive environment.

The posts we have available for January would be particularly suitable for an NQT or someone with one or two years teaching experience.

To see what type of academy we are please take the time to look at:

The two available positions are for Class Teachers in year 3.

The successful candidate will need to align themselves closely with our unique identity and match the high levels of discretionary effort that current staff display.

We believe that St. John’s offers ambitious teachers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and we have a long record of staff successfully obtaining promotion following service at our school. In return for high levels of commitment the appointed teacher(s) will receive high quality professional development opportunities and the support of skilled staff.

It is strongly recommended that potential candidates arrange a visit to the academy.  Appointments can be made by emailing Emma.Joyce@stjohnsprimary.academy either during or outside of school hours.  Scheduled visit times are as follows:

  • Thursday 14th November 11:15am
