The newly established West Midlands Violence Reduction Unit is seeking a Director. The Violence Reduction Unit aims to prevent and reduce violence, vulnerability and exploitation across the West Midlands using a public health approach.
The Unit is seeking a proactive systems leader to lead the development of a Violence Reduction Unit in the West Midlands, bringing together partners and agencies to ensure close collaboration and develop shared outcomes. The postholder will provide strategic leadership, vision and direction to and for the Violence Reduction Unit.
Could this be you? Do you have significant experience of working in a senior leadership role in a complex political environment? Are you good at strategically leading and delivering? Can you work well with partners? You must have knowledge of the public health approach to violence prevention, you must understand how to engage communities and partners, and you must know how to deliver at pace while taking into account evidence and research to inform how you do this.
