Catering Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Catering Assistant at our Academy
- Start Date: Immediate start November/December 2019
- Salary: NJC Point 4 – Actual Salary £3,031
- Hours: 7.50hrs per week
About the post:
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our committed existing in-house catering team. Main duties of the post are to undertake general kitchen duties, food preparation and service, the operation of a cashless till system, and basic cleaning duties.
Previous experience in an educational environment is preferred but not a requirement, however, the ability to communicate easily with staff and students is essential. Knowledge of health and safety in the kitchen would be helpful however full training will be provided.
The role is 7.50 hours per week, term time only. The hours worked will be:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday –1.00pm until 2.30pm and Wednesdays are
12.30pm until 2pm.
In exam periods, the hours are 12pm until 1.30pm and 11.30pm until 1pm on Wednesdays.
Applicants must be flexible with hours and occasionally overtime hours are available to cover for absence and training.
