Are you looking for a new challenge?

Do you want to work in a school where everyone is valued and works as team?

The Board of Governors is looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant at St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School who will:
• Be able to develop mutually respectful relationships with our pupils
• Be able to listen to and nurture pupils of all ages
• Be passionate and committed to supporting the school vision

• Be able to lead children in play activities
• Be an enthusiastic team player

St. Mary’s is a single form of entry Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Birmingham and in the Wednesbury North ward of Sandwell. St. Mary’s is a school with a strong Catholic ethos where everyone is valued and cared for as we strive to support “Our community, growing and learning together with Christ.”

We have a very enthusiastic team of teachers and support staff who are committed to improving outcomes for the local children. The Governors are committed to providing a full training and support package to ensure all employees continue to develop professionally in order to achieve their full potential.

As a school, we work collaboratively with other Catholic schools in the area and with local schools in the Wednesbury Learning Community. The Governors are supportive of the Archdiocese of Birmingham’s academisation policy, and see the future of St. Mary’s moving forward, retaining its existing strengths and characteristics, but working within a larger multi-academy company to continue to develop and strengthen Catholic education for the pupils.

The school had a successful OFSTED inspection in the summer term of 2019 and maintained its ‘Good’ rating.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and actively encouraged. Please contact the office to make an appointment to meet Mr Gary Linford, our Head Teacher, or by emailing him at gary.linford@st-marys.sandwell.sch.uk

The school telephone number is: 0121 505 3595.

Applications must be made using the correct application forms (B, C and D) which are available from the school website: http://www.stmaryswednesbury.co.uk/job-vacancies/

Completed application forms should be returned to the school office by hand, by post or by email to julie.armstrong@st-marys.sandwell.sch.uk

Closing Date: Friday 29th November 2019 at 12 noon

Interview Date: Week beginning 2nd December 2019

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

An enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain and promote the Catholic character of the school and will, therefore, be required to sign a CES contract.
