Job Details
Tiverton School is a primary special school which currently meets the needs of 97 pupils with a range of learning difficulties. We share a campus with Whitley Abbey Primary School with whom we continue to develop a meaningful working partnership for pupils, families, staff and other stakeholders.
This is an exciting time for Tiverton School as we are a growing community school with excellent new facilities. We offer a vibrant and stimulating learning environment and welcoming staff, who are passionate and committed to providing the best opportunities for all of our pupils.
We increased our pupil numbers to 95 in September 2019 and will increase to over 100 pupils in the next three years.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated teacher who is “Passionate about celebrating learning, enjoyment and achievement for all” to join our team. You will have responsibility for a class of pupils with a range of special education needs.
You will appreciate the need for pupils’ entitlement to a dynamic curriculum which provides excitement, relevance and stimulation for learning. The school has a large number of children with ASD and/or sensory difficulties. If you are keen to develop an interest/expertise in this area we would welcome your application. We can offer you excellent team support and outstanding professional development as well as opportunities to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to enable the best outcomes for the pupils we serve.
