Level 1 Teaching Assistant 

Grade 2 £17,364 FTE, £12,771 actual wage

We are looking to appoint a Level 1 Teaching Assistant for 32.5 hours per week, on a permanent basis. 

The successful candidate will have a positive attitude in the classroom, command respect from learners and engage students to achieve their potential. 

Previous experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Level 1 staff work under the direct instruction/supervision of a classroom teacher and provide general basic help and support, mainly but not exclusively of a physical nature.  

Key features: To support access to learning by undertaking a range of practical duties within the classroom, supporting students in lessons, supporting the classroom teacher as directed and supporting with behaviour management.
