Dudley is a large town based in the West Midlands. Although situated within an urban conurbation Dudley has many high quality green spaces and is within a short drive of the countryside. It is a borough steeped in history which is shown by its many high quality tourist attractions. Dudley has recently launched its vision for the future ‘Forging a Future for All’, that sets out ambitious plans for the next 11 years in creating a thriving borough where people want to live, work and visit.

Hours: 37 per week

Salary:  Grade 11

An opportunity has arisen for a commercially aware procurement professional to join the corporate team as a Procurement Manager. We are looking for an ambitious person wanting to advance their career in the procurement arena and play a key role in shaping the ongoing development of the service.

You must be MCIPS qualified and have experience of operating within a local government environment. Your experience will also include National and European Procurement Regulations, providing sound advice and supervising, motivating and developing staff.

Dudley MBC Procurement is a small team of friendly professional staff that provides high quality services to the Council where officers are supported and developed to reach their potential.

The team is well respected in the Council by both Senior Managers and Members and is always looking to develop innovative ways of working.

We are a team that is focused on the customer and delivering added value services whilst producing work to time and to the highest standard.
