Do you have empathy with animals and want to make a difference to their lives? Do you have customer service experience, directly and over the phone?

We are looking for an Assistant Animal Welfare Officer to join our Environmental Services team. You will be assisting in providing animal welfare services in the city, responding to service requests relating to animal nuisance and welfare.

The successful applicant will be efficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office software and have experience of dealing with the public, directly and over the telephone. You will also have experience and knowledge of handling and working with different breeds of dogs. Training is provided but a basic skill and understanding of animal welfare is desired.

To apply for this role you must hold a full, current, UK driving licence. You must be prepared to work unsociable hours, including some evenings, all weekends, public holidays and bank holidays including Christmas day.
