We are supporting Amber House in Coventry with the recruitment of Care Assistants for their team. 

The roles are direct positions with Amber House and are not employed by Coventry City Council.

Job description

Reporting to Home Manager

Responsible for: Looking after elderly people with dementia and challenging behaviour. You will support the care team, manager in developing the service, contributing to positive outcomes for the smooth running of the service as a whole.

We offer flexible hours and shifts. You could choose shift patterns to 6, 7, or 10.5 hours shifts.

Friendly and homely working atmosphere

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Who are we looking for?

We require:

  • NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Health and Social Care
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Ability to meet our compliance standards including DBS/CRB and References
  • Excellent interpersonal skills verbal and written
  • Reliable and flexible
  • Good time management skill and ability to prioritise workload
  • Flexibility adaptable to changing needs
