National Minimum Wage for Age:
25 and over: £8.72 per hour
21 to 24: £8.20 per hour
18 to 20: £6.45 per hour
Under 18: £4.55 per hour
Walsall Children’s Services is implementing a new Family Safeguarding model, and are seeking enthusiastic individuals with excellent administration skills to support our Social Workers.

If so then we have a great opportunity for Apprenticeships within various Teams across Children's Services which would provide the chance to gain the skills, experience and knowledge in a busy service area whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification (NVQ level 3 in Business Admin).
As an apprentice you will:
- work alongside experienced staff
- gain job specific skills
- earn a wage and receive holiday pay
- study towards a related qualification
The successful candidate will learn and assist in all elements of administration including carrying out day to day customer service, financial management and general administration duties.
We are seeking individuals with GCSE (Grade C or above) in English and Maths.
The appointed person will be required to complete one day per week of training either onsite or within a training provider environment.
This opportunity is offered is offered as a Fixed Term 2 year contract.
Training will be provided on the job through our Training Provider Performance Through People, there will be a requirement to undertake 20% off job training and you may need to work towards Functional Skills.
This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
