We have a fantastic opportunity, for a Team Lead to work with our Sustainable Travel Team.

Sustainable travel and improving air quality remains a significant priority for Solihull Council.  We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual who wants the responsibility of delivering transformation programmes and projects that delivers sustainability benefits and improved outcomes across the region.

As Team Lead you will manage a dedicated team of staff and anchor projects across a wide programme of activity including schools, businesses and the wider community to deliver customer focused initiatives.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A degree and Project Management qualification or be able to demonstrate relevant extended experience and training
  • A demonstrable track record of successfully delivering projects / programmes.
  • Experience of managing and leading staff
  • Experience of financial management to ensure project compliance, including grant claims, bids, audit and external funding requirements are met.
  • The ability to engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels and communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.

Whilst you will be required to have knowledge of sustainable travel, behaviour change and road safety, experience is not essential.
