We are looking to recruit a playworker to support children during breakfast and after school club, duties as follows: The Playworker is experienced childcare professional with responsibility for working in the before and after school club. They perform an important role in caring for children, maintaining high-quality and stimulating learning environments, they are creative and are able to work effectively with children from across the school.

• Undertake appropriate play activities as planned engaging first hand with the children

• Supervising play opportunities in accordance with health and safety procedures

• Attending team meetings and any other meetings as may be required • Keeping up to date and conversant with school aims, policies and procedures, relevant curriculum documents, and being aware of the routines for all aspects of school activities

• Liaising with parents re concerns/success • Encourage personal hygiene routines and administer first aid as appropriate

• To supervise children during breakfast and snack time

• Have a working knowledge of the OFSTED framework

If you are interested in applying for this role, the shifts will be approx. 15 hours per week during the following hours of work: Term Time only, Monday to Friday 7.30am to 9.00am and 3.30pm to 6.00pm Flexibility with regard to meetings, INSET days etc is required
