We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic person to join our City Centre team in Environmental Operations.

The role

Tasks for this role will include primarily driving a LGV Sweeper or a pedestrianised sweeper, litter picking, bin emptying, and general street cleansing tasks.

This post will involve working as part of a team of four operatives completing essential cleaning and maintenance tasks based in Worcester City.

We are looking for a person who enjoys a challenge and who can fit into a team of people or work alone and who is proud and committed to the service to the people of Worcester that they provide.

Skills and Experience

Applicants must have a full driving licence.

We are looking for someone with the ability to work flexibly covering a variety of tasks with a practical approach.

As the vehicle you will be primarily driving is up to 7.5 tonnes - a CPC qualification is desirable.

Applicants must feel confident to complete all duties, be able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions, have excellent customer care skills and be willing to undertake any necessary training to fully complete the role.

Additional information

Please note: This position is a temporary vacancy for up to 18 months. 

The hours of work are 37 per week to suit the needs of the service.

Weekend working will be required; this will be allocated on your rota and discussed at interview
